First of all, sincere sympathy on the loss of your brother. I'd love to be able to visit again with mine, and it has to hurt.
In terms of what to wear, it's similar to any time of honour. You do your brother and his comrades by dressing well, and respectfully. I don't know what would be done in the U.S.A., but in Canada, a poppy worn next to the clan badge of your bonnet would be the only thing to do.
Do NOT wear a tartan that was his but is not yours - e.g. an Air Force related tartan if you're not an airman past or present. Wear your own tartan, but wear your gear well.
May he rest in peace and may he have known that he was loved.
