Finally, my turn to jones for a new kilt!

My second wedding anniversary is coming up in September and I wanted to surprise my wife with something completely awesome, so I'm being a sneaky mofo and arranging a vow renewal. I know, it's only been two years, but it's never too early to remind your special someone how much you love them. She thinks we're just going to the park where we got married to have cupcakes before dinner. I thought The Unipiper "coincidentally" appearing in the park, and then delivering her flowers, would be a fun way to spring the surprise. Our absolute favorite celebrant is going to perform the renewal and a wedding photographer friend of mine is going to get a bit of video and some photos. I'm thinking the wife will be totally blown away.

Anyway, I thought about wearing one of my kilts but I'm not wearing camouflage and my only dressy kilt is black. There's some Graham in my wife's family, not a strong connection but it's an important one to her, so I thought the tartan would be a nice surprise. She always wanted me to get some cloth and make it myself, but I'd prefer to wear something that actually looks nice. I traded a few PMs with Rocky and put in an order in for a semi-trad this afternoon. OMG! So! Excited!

It's going to be a looooong couple of weeks.

PS: Hawk, no fair letting anything slip on Facebook. You are hereby sworn to secrery.
