    2" plain brown kilt belt

Can anyone suggest a supplier for a 2" plain brown belt to give with my new knockabout kilt? (and no - it hasn't arrived yet)

I can find some nice decorated ones, 3" ones, but not a simple unadorned 2" brown belt...

Try Amerikilt. They have plain black and brown 2" belts for about $38. They are very heavy duty.

One of the XMTS advertisers has some nice ones in the $33-45 range that I have been contemplating.

    Thanks guys.

Should have added, I need a UK supplier as shipping from the US is a bit prohibitive...
I'll only be using the kilt for fishing and scouts, so don't want to spend a fortune. Shipping is around $50 so more than the belt...

Matthew Newsome has a nice one from MacKenzie Frain, but as I was typing this and getting link, I realized they don't say how wide it is. Odd. IIRC, though, it seems to me to be about the width you want. Several folk here will make you one, I don't know if any are in
    the UK.

Have you checked Etsy? I did a quickie search and turned up quite a bit in the UK. Bear in mind that if a particular seller doesn't have a listing that's exactly what you're looking for, many will do custom orders. I expect you wouldn't have any problem finding a very nice belt, with the added bonus of buying it directly from the person who made it.

The Sportsmans Guide ( in the US, but they ship internationally) has a 1.75" Czech military leather belt for about 10GBP ( for two).

In general, their shipping rates are high, even in the US, particularly if you spend less than about $100. May I suggest you look at the belt and see if there is some UK/ Continental based dealer in similar goods? Or, do as Ratspike suggests and have one made- I believe a belt is one of the apprentice leather crafter's earliest projects. Saddlers and tack suppliers might have the ability to make what you want.

Be sure to have the keeper attached, as they tend to slide off otherwise.

Martin whilst I agree with Jock, these are another vendor who I can personally vouch for - http://www.centaurdesign.co.uk/belts...-leather-belts, if you give them a ring they will make exactly what you want and reasonably priced too.
