Pics from my First Public Outing

After receiving my Celtic Nations kilt on Wednesday, I wore it to an antique car show in southern Indiana. Loved the old cars: although some were new when I was a kid. And now they are old, and I guess that makes me an antique too. Had a friend take some pics. Hope I can get them to appear here.

By the way, do I qualify for Clan Clause? Or at least Clan Abominal Snow Man?

Great first outing choice. I vote Clan Clause for you if it comes to that.

As a charter member of the Clan Claus I definitely think you should belong. Are you a Santa?

Glad your kilt finally arrived, and that you survived the jones. Great tartan, and you are wearing it well. The hair and beard are also pretty impressive!

Looks great, Thanks for sharing the photos. Also I'm sure there are a few here that would like a new kilt for Christmas. HaHa

I can do the beard, but unfortunately no longer the hair. Looks brilliant. I'm waiting for the same kilt in casual form from USAK, except it'll be pleated to the stripe.

Both the hair and the beard are more Santa-like than my own. While I don’t own a red kilt (which would be ideal for playing Santa) I also belong to Clan Claus. (Note: no E at the end there.)
When I have my annual haircut and beard trim, I have to fight to keep my face fungus sufficiently long for the Santa impression. My wife and her hairdresser are only too happy to have it much too short.
My brother trims his beard (much like mine) to only a few millimetres in length, which I feel is ridiculously short, but the wife prefers that.
    Regards,
    Mike

Thanks to all of you for your votes of confidence (even if I did mispell Claus). Believe me, people around here, all ages, give me their wish lists, all year long. 5 years ago, before I had chemo, my hair was actually long enough to hang below my waist somewhat. For Halloween, I brushed the hair straight down all around, put on my glasses, and went as Cousin It, fifty years later. It was a blast, except the hair got in the way of eating. LOL

    Have a great week.
