    Strange question

Today I was asked what is probably the strangest question I've been asked while wearing a kilt. As my avatar notes, I'm a piper. I played at a memorial service this afternoon. Afterwards, while on my way home, I decided to stop and pick up some beer. A woman left the store just ahead of me, and waited for me outside. As a came out she asked "Excuse me, are you a professional singer?". I explained that, no, I was a piper. I have no idea what made her associate a kilt, Argyle jacket and waistcoat with professional singing.
All skill and effort is to no avail when an angel pees down your drones.

That is a bit of a stretch. I usually get asked about parades and/or piping gigs. Odd.

Maybe she heard you speaking and you have a remarkable voice...?!

Might have been her second or third trip to the beer store that day.

Maybe she just wanted to "bag a piper." Asking if you were a piper would have been too easy.

Did it lead to a conversation? If so, she wins!

Wearing the kilt is like singing in the shower -you always sound better.
