Folsom Street Fair
Went to the street fair today for a short while. I have never seen so many utiikilts before. I saw easily 75 or 80 in the hour and 1/2 that I was there, in all colors and materials, including one in a tartan pattern.
Not a tartan kilt in sight at the fair BUT when I stopped in for a beer on my way out of the fair this is what I ran across:
Left to right Gil, Patrick and Bill.

I would guess that 4 tartan kilts in one pub in CA must be extremely unusual; but that number of utility kilts in one place even rarer. Was there a specific reason?
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

@tpa this street fair is known world-wide. The local paper had this to say:
Tens of thousands of naked and partially clothed men and women crowded onto Folsom Street between 8th and 13th streets for the annual kaleidoscope of kink, known far and wide as the world’s biggest leather event.
I guess some people must consider the utilikilt a kinky item of clothing. In fact there was a Utiliklilt sales booth there and seemed to be doing a pretty good business.
I probably should add that a large number of people in attendance, myself included, were fully clothed.

Oh, I was wondering how you were going to manage to post a picture of the Folsom Street Fair without breaking every rule in the book on XMTS!
We were at the climate rally in Oakland today. I was the only one in a kilt that I saw....got lots of nice comments, tho.

You learn something every day. World-wide had not extended to this area. I had googled "Folsom CA" and it did not mention the street fair, hence my ignorance. Thank you for enlightening me.

It refers to Folsom Street in San Fransisco, rather than Folsom itself. Wikipedia has an entry for the fair. WARNING I'd be very disinclined to follow up any other Google links!
