Pictures are great I just googled the Queen Mary And found the info about the recently held Highland Games and Scottish festival. Do all the events take place on board? Some how I have a tough time envisioning the the caber toss aboard, even the QM.

I've looked closer at the web page and found the map outlining the location of the heavy events.
    Cheers...

Most of the events are ashore. The only events that actually happen aboard the boat are the piping and drumming solos. Some of which are in a terrible location of not inside, but not on the top deck, so you have an overhang making it difficult to hear yourself and the temperature is inconsistent around the deck making your pipes do crazy things with tuning.

I went to the Queen Mary this week and enjoyed myself. The quality of the festival has not been very good the last few years but I did think they had a good one this time. The athletic space still needs to be worked out but things seemed to go better. I spent most of my time at the games but did watch the parade, see the rusty bawls show and walk around a little on sunday. The pictures are from the first day. I have shots of the parade/rusty/etc from the second day but a friend just lost a cast member in her production of Il Tabarro (an opera) and I need to spend all my time the next couple of days learning the role so it will be a few days before I get the second days up

Outstanding pictures! That very 1st photo of Heather is just plain badass.

Here, I'll add a couple of photo's of me from the Queen Mary Games. I threw with the 40+ Masters on Sunday. And since this is XMarks, I'll mention that I'm throwing in a USAKilts Casual Kilt. Love it.
