Flash identification help, please

I ordered a set of Buchanan Flashes to go with my Buchanan Modern kilt from Atlanta Kilts. I have mentioned before that I am colorblind, but these flashes don't look right, to me. Can anyone verify if they are indeed Buchanan, or if there has been a mistake somewhere.

So little of the full sett is revealed in these flashes, but what of it is visible, does look like Buchanan. The colors are paler than one is accustomed to seeing (they certainly aren't the rich "modern" colors), but again, what pattern is visible, does fit the Buchanan. Personally, I'd forgo tartan flashes, and wear flashes made in solid colors.

Looking at them again, I think that they follow a horizontal yellow stripe, rather than going vertical as I thought. That was a big part of what was throwing me.

I do have a set of solid red self tie garters on order, unixken. I think those will look much better than these. Thank you again for your help!

Agreed. You are seeing the horizontal yellow and red stripes. (The tips of the flashes are cut from the red.)

EDIT: Oh, and you'll like the self-ties... they look great!
