    personal tartan

I think I may be narrowing in on a "final" personal tartan design.

    How do these strike you?

Is one more appealing than the other?

Brutal honesty, please and thank you.

I like the second one better. With the pink running through the green, the whole has a bit more definition between colors, which I find more appealing.

I prefer the second one as well. A nice looking tartan it is too!

I'm in the second-is-better club, too. Very nice tartan! If you get it woven and a kilt made, please share pics with us.

Second one for me too. Would look very nice in Wilsons' shades.

The blend of the second choice (pink on grey) is great. I would pleat to the sett on the first but pleat to the stripe on the second. That would give more depth in each of the two within a kilt design.

The purple on green is bold (which I like also) but would opt for the latter.

Seems to be unanimous for the second ("pink-on-green, purple-on-gray") option.

    Thanks much for the input!

Is there much precedence for pink (light red) stripes in gentleman kilts?
