Washing Hose 80% wool 20% Polyamide

I have a pair of hose made of 80% wool and 20% polyamide

How should I wash them?

Cold water on gentle cycle with Woolite?

I would wash my hose that way. I then recommend rolling the damp hose in a towel, let sit over night, then hang from a clothes line (indoors), wooden dowel (closet rod) or top of door.

I wash mine by hand in cool water with a little Woolite, squeeze out as much water as I can (no wringing!), and then dry them laid out flat.

I take them in the tub with me, wash them in the tepid water I sit in with my Johnson's baby shampoo. Squeeze after rinsing, get out of the tub and roll them in the bath mat after drying myself off. Hang over the curtain rod and then clean the tub. I can do two at a time pressing them in the bath mat. That is good because after events with our pipe band I do my daughter's as well.

It is a good feeling to have them freshly cleaned and ready for the next event.

I hand wash my hose in the sink with baby shampoo (mostly because I have loads of it as I still use it on my young sons hair.)

I use a squooshing motion, I never twist/wring my hose. I press out as much water as possible and then fold em into a towel and stand on em to extract most of the water, then flop over the side of the sink or tub and let air dry.

Yesterday afternoon I hand washed them with regular clothes detergent since I didn't have Woolite and didn't think about baby shampoo, which I use diluted as an anti-fogging agent for my scuba mask.

Squeezed the water out, blotted with a towel and laid out on a towel to air dry. They're almost dry.
