Phil, is the kilt for which you are waiting the same one that you bought from off eBay earlier last month?

ok ,, thanks all. been a long time coming! freedom.

    to the details...

ordered last thursday, holiday weekend , and it arrived today.

    kudos for quick turn around!

this is the SW Black Watch Economy Model.
([Edited a day late ] it was the Standard edition that i purchase)

the Stillwater came complete with instructions including to be sure to place pleats to the rear!

at first i was going to order a 36. after following pap's philsophy of measure twice cut once, i ordered a 38. ;) the SW's have a bit of play in them to the tune of about 1.5". so, the 38 "will" fit up to 39.5" with comfort.

the leather buckles add a real nice and classy touch to the kilt, though the leather is thinner than i expected. but not disappointing.

the material is synthetic and comfortable. no itch what so ever. i don't know the weight of the material but it's light-weight yet has a nice thick feel to it. it is a bit on the warm side and i don't think i'd sit on sunny bleachers at a July ball game in it, but so far, it's not too bad.

what i didn't know and perhaps missed on the SW web site is this kilt was made in Pakistan. the hem is a bit off and will require adjustment, though i don't expect that to be a problem as i recall seeing another post about that concern and an associated fix. the only other note is the "Made In Pakistan" label was apparently glued on and glue seeped through the front apron and visible on the outside. i might suggest to the manufacturer to place the label on the inner apron.

all in all, i'm pleased and would recommend Jerry and the Stillwater Kilt line of affordable kilts. I understand he'll have a couple of new tartans later this year.

thanks guys for all the encouragement!

    best!

    ambrose
