Brand New Guthrie
My Guthrie Modern, pleated to stripe, arrived Friday. Tried it on today. Fit is perfect. I'm just waiting for a chance to wear it somewhere. I may break it out for the Moore's Creek Bridge battle remembrance in Currie on Saturday. I am really pleased with the way this tartan looks, pleated this way, especially in the darker modern shades.
No pics on yet, hopefully soon...

A (distant) relative, Sgt. James Ingram, adjutant to Co. Allen Jones, survived the Moore's Creek battle. I hope both sides are represented with honor in such a lovely site. Many NC battle grounds have seen the terrible things that war brings. The sites remain scenic regardless of the follies of mankind.
Most of the Loyalist and Colonist were Scottish descendants during the Moore's Creek battle. The Guthrie tartan honors both sides and will be appreciated by those that know that small detail.

Here are a couple of pics, still none with it on. I refuse to do a cheesy bathroom mirror selfie.

Wonderful kilt. Here is my Guthrie tartan kilt, but in the ancient colors, made by Barb T.
