First work day in a kilt

I think tomorrow will be my first workday kilted! It's a casual day so easy to dress without any proper hose.

Fridays I can wear my Utility Kilt to my Part Time job. Last Friday I didn't and I disappointed a few people. My Seniors I take to their Day Programmes told me last Friday, they decided at Lunchtime that I am to wear my Kilt from now on, Each and Every Friday, No Exceptions... .

Over last weekend I got the Jacobite Shirt , and bought my Black Flashes today when I was ordering my Tartan Kilt... I think I'll wear the Kilt for them this Friday. Everything is Black except the Hose, that is White (Well Off White). As long as My Seniors don't think of me as the Man in Highland Black. (Sorry Johnny).. And don't expect me to break out in song. We should be OK.

If only...

My work can entail the possibility of construction sites (and other industrial areas), requiring the legs to be covered.

I carry chaps (and a change of long pants) in my work truck just in case I need to visit such a location.

Sadly, chaps and kilts really don't get along very well...

If only my boss could be proactive enough to let me know when long pants will be required...

Yes I am glad I am able to go to work kilted. I have worked jobs that simply are beyond kilt wear...and yes, chaps and kilts do not sound like they'd play well with each other, lol

Some cyclists have an appreciation for kilts following MTB and cross races due to the ease with which clean cycling clothes can be put on at the start and muddy clothes can be taken off. Doesn't seem it'd be that hard to keep a pair of pants in the truck to toss on at need.
