Which modern kilt next?
AM a new poster here, though I see many names that I recognize from the utilikilts and kiltmen forums. Anyway, I have 3 UKs (black, olive, and a chocolate workman's) and one wool tartan (Keith ancient) and am jonesing to but another modern kilt. I love my UKs but would like to try something new and am looking for recommendations.
I have been looking at neokilts (the washington one), amerikilts, and pittsburg kilts. Does anyone know if the amerikilts come in anything other than cotton (I have read that AKs are a bit wrinkle prone) and have both inside and outside of the pleats sewn? Any experience with Neokilts? Anyone know how they fit and what they are made of?
Lots of questions, many of which have probably been asked before - but I thank you for taking a look at them and providing any advice you can.
Happy Kilting!

I have a Neokilt in green camo pattern. It's built verymuch like a traditional kilt but the pleats are a bit more shallow. The material is cotton, lighter than the material in my Utilikilts, but it had a lot of stiffness (starch?) and I had to wash it many times to soften it up to the point where it would drape enough that I considered it wearable. It's not my favorite kilt but it's very servicable for camping or walking, I even wore it boating and riding on jetskis this last summer (alas no photos).

I think you want to try something sufficiently different from what you already have.
Candidates I would suggest:
1. a solid or pinstripe business style kilt from 21st Century Kilts (TFCK I think
2. i think scottish lion was the company that was offering very handsome tweed pattern kilts
3. a leather kilt (perhaps utilikilt brown?)

Or... you could make your own if you find some nice, or different fabric.
Just a thought.
