Toronto brick and mortar?
My wife and I will be in Toronto, Ontario, briefly. I see there are at least a couple brick and mortar kilt shops there. Are any worth the visit? (Not looking for anything in particular, although my wife would love to explore kilty hostess skirts.)
(There's a web site called "Buy Kilts" that shows up when I search "kilt Toronto" and it appears to use a picture of McMurdo??? But there's no physical location on the site.)

I found that link, Alex took that photo years ago at the shop that is now William Glen & Sons. As for shops in Toronto there are a couple that I would check out.
William Glen & Sons, I have purchased several items here and they are always wonderful.

The Scottish Company, this is where I had the Scottish Wildcat Tartan jacket and waistcoat done. Always a great experience, they also made my Isle of Skye kilt. Wonderful service here as well.

A little out of town but worth the drive is Burnetts & Struth in Barrie Ontario, again wonderful staff and great place probably more stock here than elsewhere.

I can happily vouch for both of McMurdo's recommendations. I have a beautiful tweed Argyle jacket made by the Scottish Company and it is a clear winner and favourite.

Thanks! I'd seen and bookmarked those two sites, but had no idea if they were worth the visit. Glad to hear they are, because they're more or less on our route out of town (Thanks also, Father Bill.)
Sadly, Burnetts is pretty far out of our way. Have to save it for another trip.

In years past I would suggest a kilt night in your honour. As things are it would not be a great idea. Hopefully that is something we could re-visit at some point.

Why, what a nice suggestion. It wouldn't work out this time in any case because we're solidly booked while we're in town. But we pass nearby (on the way to Stratford) a few times every summer. I'll message you with our plans when the time gets closer.
