Looking for Tartan Shirt Sources
I like the look of a tartan dress or sport shirt with a plain kilt. There are some great pics of Ham in this look in his gallery.
Finding tartan shirts has been difficult, other than the standard Stewart, Gordon, etc.
Just wondering if anyone could suggest some sources of either dress or sport shirts in larger tartan patterns (the mini tartans don't seem right with a plain kilt).
Thanks for any help,
Ron

I don't recommend the kilts, but the shirts may be ok.

L.L. Bean....
LL Bean has some interesting tartan shirts.
I own one of their mini-tartan shirts in the L.L. Bean tartan, and I am getting ready to order another one in the MacAlpine tartan. They are very comfortable.
But, then again, I'm an L.L. bean junkie when it comes to casual clothes!
Cheers,
T.

Ask and you shall receive...just got my Cabella's catalog in www.cabelas.com
They have lots of tartan like shirts AND they have washable wool Pendleton shirts in the Black Watch, Robertson, and Campbell (Never!!) tartans.
They have Campbell (Never!!) in a flannel shirt too.
They also have some of those cable knit sweaters, they call them fisherman sweaters. Their crew comes in brown heather, natural, charcoal, and midnight.
They have the same thing in cardigans, but don't know how a cardigan would look with a kilt. Guess its time to check Ham's gallery to see.

Ron,
If you want some real nice tartan shirts (wool/cotton blend), I would suggest that find a source for Viella (sp?).

Ron,
Correct spelling is Viyella. Here is one site that I found:
