Emergency Kilt Afternoon in Brooklyn, NY
Okay. It's late and I'm at work. I get a call from a co-worker on another shift. (Mike, he was in the pictures from the Finnigan's Wake Barleyjuice show)
Anyhow, he's a huge U2 fan and they're apparantly playing a short, free concert in Brooklyn tomorrow afternoon. I'm working an overnight shift tonight in Newark, Delaware which is about two hours from there.
Problem is, my kilt is back home, about an hour south. So when I get off work at 8AM, I'll drive home to shower, shave and pick up my kilt and camera. Then drive another hour back north to meet up with Mike who will drive the rest of the way up to Brooklyn.
Since I'm going through so much trouble here, who'd going to meet me up there? It's super last minute. But anyone can e-mail me at nogagreflex @ Gmail . Com to get my cell phone number.
I'm still looking for the website with the show information. I forgot to ask him for that.

found the link. Looks like you have to register and get "approved" for tickets. I don't know if my friend did that. But we're going up anyhow.
Maybe we'll end up somewhere. I dunno.

Wow! I am extremetly jealous. I have been waiting for their new album for months. I will of course see them if they come back to Vancouver on tour, but what a cool sounding experience. I hope you guys get a chance to see them.

Unos Dos Tres Catorce!
I just wish Bono had learned Spanish before he wrote that song.
"Some, Two, Three, Fourteen!" is the literal translation. (Sorry, I love U2 but that song irks me!)

Hank,
Maybe that is what he was really trying to say. You know Bono. He's a buddy of our Prime Minister. Need I say more? :P

Well, this is their 14th album. That's what he's saying.
I'm pretty sure he's not that daft.
Here's a quick recap. IT WAS AMAZING!
I don't know if Jimmy went. There were too many people to find him in the crowd, even if I had seen his post here.
As far as I could tell, I was the only kilted soul there. They were filming for an MTV concert show. I think MTV Jams, because Bono goes "Brooklyn, you've just been Jammed!" after the second song. Anyhow, it's supposed to air on December 8th. When they let us in and we were all flooding towards the stage, I spotted a camera man getting shots of people streaming in. I made a beeling straight toard him in my kilt. If they're editing together footage, I should get in!!
I also took a good number of pics. They're on my site in my gallery.

Bono's counting
You're correct Fly, the reason he says 1...2...3...14 is because this album they went back to their roots, working with the same team that they used to produce Boy and War, aka the first, second, third, and 14th albums.
BTW how often do you run up to Newark Fly? I'm on the outskirts (no pun intended) of town. Maybe one of these day's we'll have a Kilt Night in Delaware and you can swing by!
