This is what kilting does to you.

While driving today, I saw a tiny whitetail deer fawn running alongside the road.

Did I think, "How cute! What a beautiful animal?" No, I thought, "That spotted hide would make a really nice sporran."

The last family meal we had, my one brother's girlfriend said that she wanted to have a pet skunk, and hey - if it didn't work out, she could give it to me. Without missing a beat, I said "Sporran."

My family knew I was kidding.
But the look on her face was priceless.

I took our kitten, held her to my crotch, looked at my wife and grinned. She said without missing a beat "I will divorce you."

At first glance, I knew exactly what you were talking about....a sporran of course! (and what would probably end up being a nice soft one too)

But after reading it again.....all I have to say is: it's a good thing all of our minds can follow the same train of thought. Because taken out of context, this one's a doosie!

I've told my wife that her black Manx cat will make a nice sporran some day, but with the way he sheds, I'd soon have a bare sporran with no tail.

I am so glad I'm not the only one. I saw a dead armadillo by the roadside this week, and my first thought was, "Hey, I should stop and pick that up and make a sporran out of it."

At least I wasn't looking at LIVE animals that way. You people are sick, sick, sick. And now I am probably going to be looking at live animals that way.
