    Re: totally bizarre request...button pictures.

Not sure what you are looking for specifically but here is a costumer's site that carries a wide variety of interesting buttons, some of which may tickle your fancy, at a fairly reasonable price:

I personally like the round silver buttons with purple and green enamel thistle pattern, attractive and appropriate for a scottish kilt jacket.

    Re: totally bizarre request...button pictures.

    What to do....Hm.

After looking at leather buttons online, I think that I won't go for leather on this Navy jacket. However, while my houdstooth jacket is rather small right now, I won't be pushing weights like this forever and I will probably shrink back down to fit it, in time. So Whidbey78, you're on... PM coming.

I've asked for this jacket with gauntlet cuffs but I am finding that I like the more plain cuffs better. If that's the case, then in fact the "plain" buttons, like what M'Lady Chrystel uses seem good. Then again, it appears that J. Higgins doesn't allow for adjusting the pocket flaps, and the gauntlet cuffs match the flaps, so..... Hm. Whatever. I'd better hurry, whatever I'm going to do.

I also found these on ebay, and while I haven't settled on them yet, they're so inexpensive that I might just buy two sets and have the option. I will probably buy a waistcoat to go with the jacket, in January, so might as well have the buttons ready to go.
