***. Same here (5'2") I look like Mrs. Butterworth in floor length skirts.
Tall women look amazing in long skirts.

Again, shorter skirts aren't about the amount of skin showing it's what silhouette looks best on which body type.

I got this Edsell tartan Sport Kilt from Nighthawk. I adore it though it is a tad on the short side. Mickey doesn't seem to mind though.
Turbokittie -very nice tartan and outfit!

I agree. My wife is 5' 10" tall and can definitely pull off the long tartan kilted skirts and always looks stunning. My sister, however, is 5' 6" tall and the ankle length tartan skirts look okay on her, but not as elegant and nice as on my wife - no offence to my wee sis, who I love and cherish dearly. Makes complete sense, I suppose.

At five foot, anything between my feet and my knees has the potential to make me look stumpy, especially if it is a straight/sheath/pencil skirt. But with a trapezoidal skirt (A line) I can get away with mid calf, and adding a petticoat improves it tenfold, and can make me look fabulous.
