Here are mine, with the fuller, patterned turndown. Notice that Riverkilt has the same great hose, different color. Notice also Livingston, smug in his tan hose. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Love the hose--don't care if they're off. Or even off-white.

Nice looking hose Jamie. While I am not partial to the standard white hose, those have a richer look to them.
Judging by their address, the Celtic Shoppe looks to be near the old theater.

Re: Panache wears white hose!
I'd really curious about the feeling after a day "out and about" with white hose. I fear mine would be a lot less white than they were when I started my day. I'm not keen on white hose (just a personal opinion) but keeping them clean I fear would be an added hassle.

This is what immediately popped to my mind as well, I love them!
Damnit... Another thing to save my cabbage for, nice knit hose.
What's next, a 600 dollar... Never mind too late on that one.

Okay, help me here. After seeing LitTrog's was considering that shade from Rocky - they seemed at least Ecru a bit of color in them, rather than as white as Jamie's look on my monitor?
It was night....Jamie's pic is in the day....is that it, or is there a color difference in the two....?

Looking at Panache's pics, mine might be just a couple shades further from white than his, but not much. They aren't stark, blazing white, but they aren't oatmeal-colored, either.

Re: Panache wears white hose!
Oddly, my Japanese aunt was just telling me, this evening, that she thought the white socks (hose) I was wearing in one of my early pictures with a Nightstalker kilt looked very nice. I thought of this thread, and almost started laughing. ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
They were cream or off white colored if I remember correctly. She liked the kilt; she didn't quite know what it was called, but that it was Scotland related.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Great hoses Jamie. I like the richness of the aran knitting patern.
I don't think it's only the colour that gets the dislike toward the typical white hoses. It's the cheap unnatural looks they have. Jamie's (and others) hoses are far from cheap looking. This type of hoses are very good looking no mather what colour they are.

Well alright, let us not get too wound up about all this. They are part of a dance group's attire and so there is no choice. Apart from that, if you like white hose then damn well wear them. But. But,having said that, Jamie's picture does illustrate perfectly, why white hose do not go well with the kilt-----they jar the eye so, and take the eye away from the rest of the outfit. Nice hat Jamie!

I agree. I am not in love with the color, just the fit and knit. They were the first hose I ever bought, so I'll be darned if I don't throw them on occasionally!
