It depends on anatomy and what you are doing.
Men are not all created equal. There is no aspect of clothing that we will all agree on. And so it is with sporran height. What works for one will not work for another.
When I am Scottish Country Dancing, the jigs and reels can cause a lot of sporran bounce (which can be quite painful). I often start the night with my sporran lower, but adjust it up during the dancing, only to lower it again for the journey home.
From pictures I have seen, there is nothing wrong with your sporran height.
