    ^ yep I was just looking at that. Seems the percentage of Americans reporting Scottish and Scots-Irish ancestry has gone down in recent years, but it's commonly thought that the decrease is mostly due to people not knowing about their ancestry. We're a bunch of mutts over here. Including myself, being Scottish, Scots-Irish, and English on my mother's side, and irish, Scots-Irish, English, German, and native American on my dad's.

    I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, the present day Scots have just as much mixed blood in their veins although the mixing goes back rather longer, I think. We are also still adding to the mix today with Chinese, Poles, Pakistanis, West Indians to name but a few and who are adding to our cultural landscape.
