    It always amazes me when people don't know what a kilt is. I can't remember a time in my life that I didn't know that a kilt is what people from Scotland wear. Obviously now I know anyone can wear one, but seriously, even as a kid I knew what a kilt was.

    EXACTLY!
    I actually REFUSE to believe anyone (adult that is) does NOT know and actually thinks a guy is wearing a skirt. I'm convinced they're just trying to belittle the fellow in question or be cute to their friends.

    You got that right, there is no reason an adult should not know what a kilt is, I think they just feel better trying to put someone else down.
