Yup Yup he will. My .02 USD (unsolicited as per normal) I am glad you posted your thoughts here. Me, I love my SWKs but my world would not long suffer a custom tailored kilt.

But opinions and in fact actual mileage varies. On that buckle and pin, I would be surprised if Jerry did not make good on it.

My first experience with SWK was not unlike yours - but happily I gave Jerry another chance (based entirely on feedback from this board). Now I have plenty of knock around kilts for my knock around life.

From what I understand from many threads here, the third strap isn't even necessary. It seems to be a throw back to the old regimental kilts and became adopted by civilians even though the civilian kilts were/are made with a lower rise to the top of the kilt.

Yes, contact Jerry, he'll do right by you, if things are off.
I've NEVER yet received a kilt from any company that didn't have basting stitches to stabilise the pleats during shipping.
That second strap on the right is only meant to be loosely buckled.

I had to have my SWK hemmed to size, but that's my parents' and grandparents' fault, not Jerry's.

I too have noticed the inner apron issue, however, and have to be vigilant about tugging it up to try to minimize the problem. I suspect it is a matter of the inexpensive design.

As others have mentioned, the bulk in the back is because the pleats aren't cut out (no steeking).

SWKs may not rock everybody's boat, but its great that we have so many choices these days.

(On a related note, just a reminder to try on a new SWK with basting in place, if you want to retain the ability to exchange it for a different size.)

    Best regards,

    Jake
