That's best answered by saying to wear the type of shoes you would wear if you were in trousers. Since it's a wedding, I wouldn't wear sneakers; that's just too casual to me. Wear a nice pair of shoes in the same color leather as you sporran and strap.

Tomorrow I'm venturing out for the first time in my very own kilt (Winter Classic). I've been formally kilted before, at both my brothers weddings, but this is the first time with my own kit. I plan on going out kilted much more often when the opportunity calls but here's my crisis for tomorrow.

OOPS!! I saw the mention on your brothers weddings and my mind attached to that.

It sounds like you're going to be dressed pretty casually though, so I wouldn't go with dress shoes. I don't really like sneakers either though, so maybe if you had a soft leather shoe, coordinated with the leathers in your outfit.
