I have to agree with Jock Scot and Billmcc here.
In my 'umble opinion, a plain leather belt with a large single pronged buckle cannot be beaten for casual wear - brown or black to match sporran and footwear (or green, if you are lucky enough to have both Glen and Freelander 'specials'!)
Of course, a Dress Belt with waistplate, not buckle, is correct for evening wear - unless one is wearing a waistcoat!
