    Hello all,
I myself see the kilt as an article of clothing not something tae play dress up in. Furthermore I will wear a kilt anydae of the week nae matter if it's just a plain auld Mondae or a Holidae o sum sort. I know what ye mean though. Being kilted on Halloween seems tae cheapen the kilt or should I sae it brings about the feeling of disrespect. Ancestors have fought and died for many things including the right tae wear the kilt. That being said maybe trews shuld be worn or sum auther form o unmanly dress that dae. The only real issue you'll face will be when your kilted on All Saints Dae and they'll be askin why you're still in your Halloween git up and walk away a wee bit puzzled that's all. Agin it's up tae you in the long run. You want tae wear your kilt, do so ! Who cares about the rest o the lot and what their wearing cuz in the end their just jealous and wish they had a kilt. I see by some of the pics in this post there are sum fellow Jacobites about. It's always gud tae be among Family.
    Yours Aye,
    Sean

1MUNK3, May I ask why are you speaking in this ridiculous dialect. I suspect you are american ?

Why are you talking in outdated scots?. Being from scotland myself I would like to educate you that no one in scotland talks like this.

And what puzzles me even more is why an american is speaking like this. ????????????????????

Strange... I just assumed that is how they speak in Massachusetts, U.S.A.

    ...

I usually don't do anything for Halloween anymore, so I guess I won't wear a kilt. I have, however, worn a gause pirate shirt with my kilt to the Ren Fest, so I guess it's which accessories you wear with the kilt that make it costoom-ish.

    * Just making a joke, no offence intended. *

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

    Wicked pissah!

Last year I didn't wear a costume and just put on a kilt to take the kids out. Of course everyone THOUGHT it was a costume and I got many compliments but it was a bit tiresome having to explain that I wasn't wearing a costume. This year I am going to a party wherein a costume is expected so I will be going as the 4th Doctor.

Oh, he's a newbie. He has yet to learn the nuances of when to fake the dialect in type, and we should all be glad it wasn't written in a lee7 or txt dialect.
