Um... I ended up planting the broccoli, so it might be that I won't be doing anything for Halloween.
I plan on not wearing a kilt while not doing anything, though.
Trews are so devilish, hoo ha ha ha.
Just wait until I get knee breeches, hoo ha ha ha.

    Oops, did I write that...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I think I am going to look about getting a 'generic' red tartan kilt and using my old fencing jacket and going as the guy from "Chowder" which my son has been watching the last few weeks. Just gotta hope SWK has one in the color and size...

I just ordered a royal Stewart kilt to go with my fencing jacket and I am going to be http://images.tvrage.net/cguide/90/5380.png Mung Daal for Halloween. (I also tacked on a cargo sporran and a kids black watch kilt onto the order... save on shipping and stuff, eh?)

Dude!! That's awesome!! I was planning on doing the Groundskeeper Willie thing myself, but I have spent so much money on my pre-Jacobite outfit for my living history group that I couldn't justify the expenditure.

I once got to buy a $80 Gerber knife because my wife packed the keys to my bike when we moved and I had to buy it to cut the chain off. And she apologized for me having to buy it.

(I am already jonesing for my SWK order, dang it. )

Luckily for you (and me!!) that jones doesn't last long. I ordered a long plaid for my outfit. This is what I'm working towards using the MacKenzie weathered tartan. I don't have the socks or shoes yet, and I don't have the over the shoulder baldric, but otherwise, I have the whole thing either on hand or in the works. My doublet is being made right now by my living history groups costumer, and I should have it soon (gods willing! Halloween is going to be cold!) Buckle shoes and diced socks are going to be my next purchases. Those will have to wait until after Christmas, though.
