OK, while I agree with everyone else...I do understand how tempting it would be to keep it, but only if it all fit, and I also guess it would be different (however with the same outcome..send it back) if it was all addressed to you and just a mistake by the shop, would be even MORE tempting to keep it...kinda like...their mistake your gain...however since it was obviously something that someone else paid for and is expecting it...definitely send it back or try and forward it....damn the luck!!!!
Chad
P.S....I'll send you MY address to send me MY package that you got by mistake

The way I'd look at it... Somewhere, some poor schmuck is being deprived of his kilt at my expense, and as it is, being forced to jones even longer. Next time that poor schmuck could be me. Or put another way, there, but for the grace of God go I...

Kev,
I think that was my order for the upcoming Red Hackles Tartan Ball! Thank God you found it!
Can you ship it directly to me? ;)

I would contact the shop and tell them of their mistake, ask them to arrange a pick up for it to be delivered to the proper owner. No need to incur the expense of trans-shipping to Scotland, only to be shipped back to the states. I am sure a shop as such would have an email where this could be handled, forthwith.
Some one just slapped the wrong shipping label on to this package, and yours is probably in someone else's house, saying "cool jacket but where's my kilt?"

This reminds me of the time just over a year ago when an X'Marker in the USA got my kilt and I got his. We sent them to each other, and I got charged duty and taxes again on my Canadian-made kilt!

I'd contact the supplier and inform them of the mistake. Offer to forward it to the correct person and ask to be re-imbursed for your shipping. That would be the 'proper' thing to do and asking to be reimbursed for your shipping is the LEAST they can do.

Update:
The company has been unresponsive but I was able make contact with the other gentleman via email (amazing what you can find on a person via the web!). We agreed to send each other our respective packages. I was expecting it to be expensive but it was only about $15 to ship a 12 lb box. One kilt package on the way to its rightful owner!
