I love the Modern, but I might end up with an ancient one of these days. Maybe when I'm a bit more ancient myself.

St. Patricks day attire '09 will be basically the same as last year. More on traditions later, but a pic of what I'll wear that day/night.

My outfit will depend on the rather fickle weather. Last year it was warm and beautiful:

Cotton khaki shirt (one of my favorite things) with a green beret (couldnt' find a flat cap, Panache), sporting an Royal Irish Regiment badge. (I know, it's sort of an irony, but it's intended.)
The year before, it was about 28 degrees F, and I was in a WPG with a heavy sweater.
As to style, you can see that I am mostly casual because it's a local parade with kids, dogs, or anything else you want to parade with.
For later evening outings, I would probably wear an argyl.
BTW: the Plastic Paddy look is not for me, at least not in the last 30 years or so.

Looks like your "wee one" was not so lucky, with the plastic paddy look, haha. Perhaps a kilt this year, Aye?!

Last year I wore my Stillwater Irish National to a show, forget what the shirt was but likely a tee. Have to say it is the only time I've ever been REALLY complimented on the kilt.
Actually... one of the ladies was heavily flirting right in front of my wife
This year, it will either be same kilt or MacLaren Ancient (more than enough green) along with my BRIGHT RED Munster rugby jersey.
And I might wear a flatcap... and no one can stop me

I think that I'll wear one as well, hope the kilt police don't find me out!
