That "does this look alright?" question is kind of in the same vein as the "does this make my *** look big?" one that men so often get asked. Most people who ask already have their opinion but are fishing for approval, and those asked cannot give an honest answer without fear of offending the asker, and a dishonest answer only reinforces the questionable choices they are asking about in the first place. No right answer.
