I have the blue with pin stripes vest. I love waistcoats. Love, love, love. I've been wanting to go back to my Target and get some more.

I was able to get over to Target this afternoon. They did not have any blue pinstripe waistcoats; I would have gotten one. I'm thinking that one of the tan-ish colored waistcoats would be good with most of my stuff. They had a larger selection than the last time I stopped by, and some that looked like very nice material, too.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I was in Target over the weekend. They had tan and charcoal cotton herringbone vests, as well as solid black cotton twill. These seemed to run much truer to size than the wool ones they had last fall.

Ya, they seemed to have a wider selection. I didn't see any corduroy, though.
The more I think about it, one of those tan waistcoats would be a good idea, so I might go back next month.
* actually thinking of the tan with a navy blue suit that has brass buttons. *

anybody care to post some pics of theirs? I just got one, I think it will need to be shortened a bit. Any patterns available for that?

I went by the two that are in our area today. Bummer! the largest they had was XLg. And they are to tight on me. The waistcoats look great and I would of bought a couple for sure, especially the tan herringbone ones. I didn't care for the pin strip ones. Not my style.
I'm glad for those out there that did get in on this deal. I found one on a discount rack mark down to two dollars. It was one of the pin strip ones.

Well after months of visiting my closest Target without finding a single vest that was not size SM, I finally ended up going to one that is two hours away. Luck was with me, I found one vest in the entire store and it was a LG! Last night I put my kilt on and sporran and played with folding the bottom edges and paper clipping it up until I was satisfied with the look. A little ironing and two safety pins later, I had a passable kilt waistcoat that could be converted back into a normal suit waistcoat in the future if needed. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I can.

Were these the wool ones or the new cotton ones? The wool vests ran rather small, while the new cotton ones seem to run true to size.
