Where I live, in scenic Resume Speed British Columbia, it's the time of year when the dominant male Yellow-Bellied Marmots are chasing their sons out to find their own durn territory. There's all these medium-cat-sized rodents running across the roads.
I did a little motorcycle jink to avoid one this morning, then thought: "Hmmm. I wonder if that'd make a good sporran?"
My mind wanders back in time to a visit with some friends years ago. After a particularly tasty home-cooked meal, my host leaned back in his chair and belched loudly. His wife sighed happily and said, "Don't matter whether you get 'em with a gun or a Goodyear, it's all good eatin'."
Those marmots look like they'd be good on rice. :food-smiley-002:
