I for one am quite surprised (though I don't know why) that there is such a WIDE taste on sporrans and what we like and don't like. I just kind of took for granted that 'a sporran is a sporran' until recently with my collaboration with Donnie and a few other sporran design 'tweeks' I have coming down the pipeline.

I guess it kind of holds true from kilts over to sporrans... different opinions on what we like... both in budget and style (taste)!

I never realised the joys of certain models of sporran until recently.
I now love goat and horse hair civilian sporrans for formal wear and a striking contemporary sporran for day-wear! You could say I like to be a little different...!
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Design tweeks, ye say? Tell me more!

I myself rather like the chrome latch model, and the clock button model on the sporran nation website. I wonder if that wee time piece is functional?

At the risk of veering off topic, I'll just say this... I'll announce it in our section when we're ready to roll them all out.
