I love creative pleating styles but the stripes on the actual pleats are skewed in weird directions. (especially a green pleat to the right of the center...)

there is even a spot where a prominent red stripe disappears in the tapering. This is an example of how not to pleat.

Good point and thanks for making me go back and look at it again. Yes, I see the skewing that you are talking about and I would have to agree it looks messy.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

Another strange thing about the kilt is that it flares - it looks decidedly / \ which isn't at all right for a kilt.

It looks like a good piece of cloth wasted.

    Question

I see items like this all the time. Is it possible to fix it? Just wondering, because that's still cheaper than most could get the materials for. It's way past my level of incompetence either way.
