Time for a New York State tartan?

It's been by my understanding that the "Arkansas Traveler" has no official standing, but was a competitor of the AR tartan designed by Dr. Phil Smith.

Thanks for that, Todd. I've sen several sources that say, or imply, that both are official, but a quick trip to the Scottish Register of Tartans confirmed what you posted.
