I like the titles. Let's have a them. They're harmless and fun.

Having personal titles is divisive, pure and simple. Those that have and those that have not.
Under the old system, before they disappeared, no new titles had been granted for almost 2 years. What about all those members who joined in the last 2 years? Obviously not worthy enough. No matter how many posts they made; no matter how many photographs they took and posted; no matter how many reports of events they posted; no matter how many kilts, or sporrans, or sgians, or belts they made, or jackets they modified - they are just not worthy enough!
Or could it be that they just weren't friends with the right people. Can anyone name a member, who received a personal title, who at that time wasn't a friend of a Mod? Don't be shy people - name names - if you can. Will it be a long list? - I think not.
What about all the 'little' members, all those without titles; those, who accidentally happen to be the bulk of the membership? Those who get on with life and wear their kilts, often in difficult circumstances. Who relate their stories of triumph and disaster. Who ask advice and get conflicting replies. What about them? Well they get the pleasure of seeing someone else getting a personal title.
Everybody wants to be well liked. Everybody wants to to think that they have the respect of their peers. Everybody wants to think that they are worthy of that respect. That is the clue - EVERYBODY.
We are all members of the same forum - there are no 'super members'. One kilt or one hundred kilts; traditional or contemporary; wearing it for a month or for 40 years - it makes no difference, we are all XMarkers and should be treated the same.
Either there are personal titles for every member or for no members. There is no middle ground.
Regards
Chas
This poll is about titles earned by postcount - kilted warrior, kilted elder, grand defender of the kilt etc., not about the "special" titles given out by the mods.
