What a fantastic post! I think you are right on the money with your attributions. I am a WWII reenactor whose unit portrays the 7th Bn Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders; our reenacting fellows also include WWII Black Watch. Your friend has a most impressive collection of kit. I'm not as familiar with the Seaforths and Camerons as I am with the others, but I think you got it all correctly. Nice example of a South African manufacture helmet on the Cameron display--three holes in the rim for a desert havelock [neck covering cloth]. Very impressive.
