Hook grip...I've just started doing it. It WORKS. Incredible. What took me so long?
I think I need a new pair of white socks. Then I'll be just like Francis Brebner, amazing Scot, star of "Ultimate Warrior" and world record holder in two Highland Athletics events. Francis has retired, now and instead of just bowing out, he's giving back to the Throwing community by judging and also by being one of the movers and shakers in the IHGF...International Highland Games Federation. Oh, and when Francis Brebner...amazing Scot, incredible athlete and outstanding human being...when he judges at the Games?
......He wears white socks.
.....and....YOU! I will look more like DetroitPete! Hey, just so's your wife can tell the difference. LOL

Alan, I never get too fired up about anyones socks, but surely one would think that these athletes would be much more presentible if they would wear some proper brouges, button-down shirts and reg ties? Wouldn't want them to offend the gentry.

I tried wearing a tie but I kept getting it wound around my hammer handle...you can just imagine what happened when came time to release! **cough**
You will laugh, but in fact, there's a guy in the Nor Cal throwers group who has hammer blades bolted to the bottom of his old pair of brogues! He's a great guy, a real stalwart in the SHA and does a lot of work for the group. I did a triple-take when I first saw the shoes, but HEY..if it works for him, I ain't gonna complain!
