I Love Fresh Bananas

Funny that you brought this up. My wife and I have been buying bananas lately, and struggling to eat them before they get soft and mushy.

The ones we buy have plastic shrink-wrap around the cut stems. I guess that's to keep the moisture in. They do tend to stay fresh for about 3 days, but turn quickly after that.

I guess we need to just buy less at a time. But I don't want to be "that guy" who tears apart the bunches of bananas at the produce aisle.

There's nothing wrong with tearing them apart. I've seen little old ladies search and hunt and look for a bunch of 2 or 3 bananas. You might be helping somebody out by busting up the big clumps of fruit.

That's what I do.
I don't wish to purchase more than I know I'm going to eat, so why waste the extra?

Yeah, that makes sense. But it still feels like I'm busting apart a 6-pack of sodas or something.
