Do you have a price worked out yet?

Double 160z would be £35 p/y incl shipping. Sent as a small packet should avoid duty your end.
Any takers.

The British Pound is around $1.60
That makes the tartan $56 a yard. Right?
I'm in for at least 2 yards
How many people are you going to need to have this run made?

The project is off the ground. Delivery times and pictures of the finish cloth to follow.

Yes, I can't resist 4 yards.
FWIW, any US citizen can import up to a set amount (I believe $200 per day) free of duty. All above board.

I am now suffering from double jonesing
First jonesing for the Tartan to be made,
and then I will be jonesing while the kilt is being made

So the lesson is that, if you want something very, very special, you will have to wait for it (and shell out the $$$$ for it)...and that's what makes it special.
Perhaps you should take up knitting to take your mind off the wait...you could knit some kilt hose to go along with the new kilt.

Hmm. At the current (today's) rate of 1GBP = 1.5975USD, a 4-yard order would come to $223.65, which sounds like it would incur duty fees. I would want to make sure that when orders are placed, we all know for certain whether we will be hit with these fees or not.
