    Sorry to post over myself but you might also consider getting yourself a all leather sporran belt as chain ones tend to rough up your kilt over time. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just about 3/4" wide and plain black leather ( a lot of guys find one in an thrift shop or hardware store)

    Haven't heard of any recent shootings by the kilt police, but a leather strap would be more "correct" for daywear, as a bonus...
