Its seems some only see Scotland as kilts and bagpipes, when those are the symbols of just one historic language/cultural group in Scotland. If what Jock Scot and other detail is correct, while I didn't notice, though I assumed Salmond and most of the Scottish aristocracy was there, I think thats great.

Its an OK tartan for a pair of somewhat understated trews to wear with a morning coat to the next Royal Wedding (Harry & Chelsy?) As an unofficial wedding commemorative, well, thats kind of a weak concept.

The late Princess of Wales had her own tartan created sometime after her marriage, and I think the replacement Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall may also. Perhaps the new Earl & Countess of Strathearn will too.

While you cant keep the POW out of a kilt when North of the border, I have yet to see the lads in kilts. Semi-formal nights at St Andrews would have demanded it, but I understand cameras were not to be trained on William while a student. Perhaps he and the Mrs will be appropriately attired for the Queens summer do at Balmoral.
