I need to get to a cobbler or order online to get some white bristle brushes (for my brown and tan shoes)...so when I do, I think I'm going to get some blue polish for a finish coat, as I've heard that it creates a little extra luster when applied as a finish coat over black boots/shoes. My black polishes are both kind cracked and dried out...maybe I'll order some Kelly's as well to see if there's any difference.
Take it from a former active-duty Marine, all you need is Kiwi black shoe polish, a good applicator brush, a good buffing brush, a soft polishing cloth, and Kiwi edge dressing for the soles, and that's it (maybe a tin of Kiwi saddle soap to clean the leather)! Don't forget about cedar shoe trees and a shoe horn as well.
