I do so love "different" - especially when its also beautiful.

Had the same thought about the Zia, but guessing since your dad's local he knows...the tourist shops in Albuquerque are certainly overflowing with goods carrying the Zia symbol. Will be interesting to see how the Zia campaign does on their home turf.

I happen to love it and have it as part of one of my tattoos for very spiritual reasons...hoping the Zia's don't mind too much and won't hold me down and cut it from my arm.

I'm really interested in knowing how the magnetic deals work in the real life of a swishing kilt. I'm still not convinced and would hate to lose such beauty on a bump I didn't notice.

As Ron said, there are plenty of shops overflowing with various items containing the zia. But, it's not just Albuquerque. You can find zia emblazed nick-nacks of all sorts all over the state. I really don't forsee a problem with the kilt pin... even if he sold them.

Heck, I even wore this unit patch atop my left sleeve in my Army National Guard days. 1/200 ADA, B battery. And, even more blatently "zia" is the patch the guys in Santa Fe, at the ADA School house, wore. I've never heard of an issue one with a non native wearing or using the Zia freely.
