Thanks Jake! I still want lots of pics though (especially the pleats) so no one is off the hook yet

I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I hiked Craggy Pinnacle in it last week. If I were a little more tech savy I'd have some pics posted by now.

Just received my El Kommando last Thursday 4/22. I couldn't wait to try it out so that evening I took a mile walk around the neighborhood. It feels fantastic, the darker color is great (sort of like the Black Watch of casual kilts) and the improvements of larger pockets (2), pleats and wrap on the correct side are all vast improvements. The only (minor) drawback I can see is the increase in weight 3-fold from 5oz to 15oz. That may seem minor but when backpacking an ounce is a lot! The increase in weight is due to the added external pockets and the pleats because the Mountain Hardwear Canyon Cloth is still the same. I was pleased with the fit too. The waist was just a tad larger than my older and too-tight original Mountain Kilt. This size medium was perfect for my 32-33" waist. The length was also perfect at about the middle of my knees. I know this kilt will get a lot of use. I'll post pictures if I can figure out how.
I purchased it on line through Altrec for $75 with free USPS shipping. It took 1 week 3 days from order to receipt. They weren't kidding when they said it will be 7 days processing. It took 7 days to process and 3 to ship.

What's up lads? Still no pics!? Here's a couple...

Still a bit difficult to see the pleats but it appears there may be about 5 pleats.
The front apron still needs a bit of a flare or 'A' shape to it to make it look better from the front, but the pleats are a huge improvement.

Dropped into my local Valhalla Pure in Kamloops the other day to get a couple things. I was wearing a UK Workman and one of the salesguys trotted up to drag me personally over to the mannikin wearing the El Kommando. Interesting, and it actually has pleats.
I may take a chance on one later this summer -- although from what I see my grungy old Blaklader is better for workin' around the farm (more pockets). Farm work may keep me off the hiking trails this summer -- we'll see once the season gets going good, we may have time to go up to Wells Gray.
