    3 in a row - perhaps a new convert.

A few weeks ago I posted a photo of my neighbour Mackie's new kilt, which is in a local rugby club tartan and is his second kilt. Now the guy who lives the other side of Mackie, ie two doors along from me had never commented on our kilts and I've never seen him kilted, so I was very surprised to see him out walking his dog today wearing a Graham of Montrose casual kilt with scrunched down hose and boots. I just had to ask him about it and it turns out his wife bought it for him from the local kilt shop as a wedding anniversary present. He was wearing a sporran borrowed from Mackie while he saves for his own. I warned him he would find kilts addictive. Hopefully he will begin to wear it regularly and be willing to pose for a photo soon. Three kilt owners living next to one another - maybe at last kilts are becoming mainstream.

Now, see...that's just nice. It's good that you're being such a good role model for your neighbors. At this point, I fully believe that every man should have at least ONE kilt in his wardrobe...seriously...it makes a good change and I wish that some of my locals would think in these terms. Good for you and your neighbor!

    In your neighborhood perhaps...

My area is predominantly muslim and eastern european with a smattering of portugese and caribean folks thrown in. Some of the reactions I get from these people is.... interesting. Methinks that the deck is very much stacked againt kilts becoming mainstream here anytime soon...

the old world values and traditions are very much alive.

Cool! My next door neighbor asked where you could buy a kilt the other day. It would be cool if he got one too.
