Is Kiltmart Still In Business?
Hello all,
Does anyone know if Kiltmart is still in business? I purchased a kilt from their ebay store several weeks ago (paid via PayPal) and haven't heard anything from them since. I've emailed and phoned them. No response to email and the phone goes to their answering machine that won't take messages because it's memory is full.![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
I'm hoping I didn't get stung!![Crying or Very sad](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cry.gif)
Thanks,
Keith

You didn't get stung if you used PayPal. I'd go ahead and file a complaint now to get the ball rolling. Both my wife and I had similar experiences recently at about the same time, and we got our money back just fine.

I agree Jim
That's why I always use PayPal. It gives one more bit of recourse in addition to filing with the credit card company. By the way, I think PayPal's office is located just outside of Omaha (I'm in Lincoln, NE). I'll give Kiltmart until tomorrow morning to get in touch with me...then I'll file the complaint.
I have also noticed that you sign with Semper Fi. I too am one of the few, the proud. I guess "not as lean...not as mean" would probably apply now, but I'm very proud when I put on the Leatherneck tartan, strap on my EGA sporran and lace up my spit shined brogues. I still find great satisfaction in polishing my brass and seeing reflection in my shoes. Once a Marine....

Good News!!! Kiltmart is Open for Business!!!
Kiltmart just contacted me. My kilt was shipped and the owner is checking with DHL to see what happened to it. The flu was the reason for the lack of communication. I can sympathize. We've had quite a number of folks in our hospital with it. ![Sad](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
Sorry for anyone who has to go through this strain of influenza!
Wanted to set the record straight.![Embarassed](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

Good to hear. Do you live here in Arizona where KiltMart's store is, or someplace else? I purchased my first kilt from Kiltmart. it served me well for the money that I paid. Which tartan did you purchase? Post some pictures once you get it in.
Slainte!

I live in Lincoln, NE. I currently have 3 kilts kilts that get a good amount of wear (Leatherneck Tartan, Black Stewart, Blackwatch and a solid black that is nice for formal or somber occasions) I'm currently working on my first two X-kilts (one in USMC desert digital and one in Carhartt brown) from Alan H's instructions and tips from other posts on the forum. I'm enjoying the opportunity to add custom features to the X-kilts as I progress with them.
The kilt I ordered from Kiltmart is a MacDonald in 11oz p/v. They had it at a blowout price I couldn't resist. I'll attempt to post photos when it arrives and perhaps photos of the X-kilts as well.

Every time I've tried to do business with KiltMart, the lady has been quite rude to me, to the point that I ended up not spending any money. She once tried to tell me that it would take longer for her to get from the Phoenix suburbs to her store downtown than it would take me to get there from Flagstaff.

I agree. The two times we've tried to deal with her she wasn't very pleasent. It was almost like we were bothering her with our desire to spend money at her establishment. Anyways though, i'd rather not get nasty about it. Either way, it was a good first kilt for me, and it served me well. I don't think I'll be buying anything else from her again though.
