Source for military camo fabric
I just stumbled upon this seller of military camo cloth. Vast selection and decent prices for hard-to-find patterns.

I've not ordered from them personally, but I know a lot of thru-hikers on the Appalachian Trail buy stuff from those folks to make backpacks, tents, etc.
Good link, TH.

A question: does the fabric come printed only on one side? If so how do you work that into your kilt?

Yes, these are prints, so the pattern is only on one side. That shouldn't be a problem with a tailored kilt as you only see one side of the fabric (except, or course, during a kilt-check! ) . A great kilt would be a problem since you often see both sides of the fabric, but a camo great kilt would be very strange....
